Charles Roe Sweeny, III Obituary - 1944

  Charles R. Sweeny, of 1 Laughead avenue, Linwood, an employee of the Atlantic Steel Castings Company for 35 years, died suddenly in Philadelphia, Saturday evening, following a heart attack. 
  Born in this city, he had resided in the county all his life. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ella Bouchelle, and three sons, Charles R. Sweeny, Jr., of 2703 C**** street, Chester; William, serving with the Army overseas, and Paul Sweeny, in the Navy. There are also four sisters, Mrs. Reba Smith and Lillian Mahoney of Chester; Mrs. Sally Mason, of Claymont, Del., and Mrs. Elsie Martin, of Philadelphia, and a grandaughter. 
  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the home of his son Charles, and internment will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday evening.
